An inspiring interview with Mr. Edi Kraus - Former CEO of AquafilSLO
Edi Kraus from AquafilSLO -recently interviewed by the local Slovenian journal "Primorske Novice"
“The circular economy has a bright future. In fact, it is the future. Sustainability is essential today. If you are not sustainable, sooner or later there will be no room for you in the market."
Mr. Kraus has led AquafilSLO as its manager for 25 years, he now has withdrawn his position to give the floor to younger people so that they may bring new ideas! He still intends to continue with his role in the Effective project, which aims towards sustainable biobased nylon.
During these 25 years, he has seen Aquafil develop from a tracker to a world-leading nylon manufacturer.
AquafilSLO means innovation - "It was the first in the world to start the production of recycled nylon (PA6) from waste fishing nets and thus entered the circular economy." They have recycled nylon to brands such as Prada, Gucci, Adidas, Speedo.
