Consortium partners of the EFFECTIVE project held their first meeting on the 6th and 7th of June 2018 in Ljubljana, Slovenia to mark the official beginning of the 4-year long journey, in which the partners aim to create, produce and showcase innovative and sustainable bio-based materials. The unique collaboration between industry leaders and brands will ensure that the usability of materials is demonstrated in various end cosumer prodcuts. The attention to end-of-life processes will also demonstrate how different product value chains can be moved into circular direction.
The two-day meeting served as the first opportunity for project-members to meet each other and plan their future activties. Leaders of Work Packages presented their objectives and milestones, while Edi Kraus, CEO of AquafilSLO and main coordinator of the project, greeted everyone in Ljubljana and made sure partners got a taste of Slovenian hospitality. The meeting ended with a guided tour of the Aquafil plant in Ljubljana, where ECONYL® regenerated nylon is being produced.
